LINDSAY COLLINS: Story Telling With Food, Anticipating Needs Before They Are Needs, And Family Meal

LINDSAY COLLINS: Story Telling With Food, Anticipating Needs Before They Are Needs, And Family Meal

Lindsay Collins is creator and host of the award-winning podcast Effin B Radio. And, let me just say… it is hilarious. Effin B Radio is a weekly podcast that features all things restaurant related – things like front of the house, back of the house, family meals, and the inside scoop. You cannot listen to an episode without laughing your face off… multiple times, but also learning a thing or two about the restaurant industry. And there’s no one better to do this every week than someone who, by the time she was 24, had worked in three different Michelin-starred restaurants, including Per Se, Noma, and The French Laundry. Lindsay is wildly talented, but also exceptionally kind. Prior to the restaurant world, she was a competitive piano player who studied at the Berklee College of Music. Her experience runs deep and her food, wine, and cocktails game is strong. We absolutely loved every minute with this beautiful human, and hope you enjoy this episode!

GERVASE KOLMOS: Following The Arrow Of Your Life, Being True To Who You Are Today, & Holding Sacred Space For Humans

GERVASE KOLMOS: Following The Arrow Of Your Life, Being True To Who You Are Today, & Holding Sacred Space For Humans

Gervase Kolmos founded Shiny. Happy. Human. And just so you know, there are periods between each of those words purposefully. Shiny. Happy. Human. Because each one of these have a special meaning to Gervase. She founded her company after having her first child. It was a response to a need she had in her own life for someone to understand, in a real way, the identity crisis she was going through. And it turned out lots of mommas were going through a very same struggle transitioning to their new lives as mothers. Gervase’s driving purpose was and is to help moms realize that messy is normal, and that they could find a rhythm amid all the chaos. She is the real deal – introspective, hilarious, magnetic, transparent, and absolutely beautiful from the inside out. We had such a great time with this shiny happy human. We hope you enjoy this episode!

JULES & STATOYA: Overcoming Obstacles & Learning As You Go

JULES & STATOYA: Overcoming Obstacles & Learning As You Go

This week it’s just Statoya and me talking shop. We dive into a list of things that we’ve overcome or are having to overcome as we see our invention come to life, build a business, and take our product to market. We get vulnerable, admit where we don’t really know what we’re doing, and discuss the things we have to do on a consistent basis to give us the confidence to keep pushing forward. If you’re an entrepreneur in your career, or even just in life, we think you’ll be able to relate to a lot of these things. Being an entrepreneur is not an easy road, but hey, if it were easy, everyone would do it, right??

STACY SMALLWOOD: Thinking Outside The Box For Success, Bouncing Back Quickly From Adversity, And Pushing The Envelope of Growth

STACY SMALLWOOD: Thinking Outside The Box For Success, Bouncing Back Quickly From Adversity, And Pushing The Envelope of Growth

We were lucky enough this week to have the absolutely beautiful and charismatic Stacy Smallwood back in the studio for round 2. Stacy is founder and owner of Hampden Clothing and James shoes in Charleston, SC, both of which are highly recognized and regarded in the world of fashion. Our original episode (episode #10) with Stacy aired on May 30, 2017. To hear the background of her story, we highly recommend you go back and listen to that one. But, in this episode, we get real. We talk about all things present. Stacy opens up and talks about both the highs and the lows of running her businesses, and the personal and professional growth she’s experienced over the last year and a half. We loved every minute of our conversation with Stacy… and are pretty sure that you will too!
