SEAN FLOOD: Having An Accurate Definition Of Success And Failure, Believing Strongly In Your Idea, And Being Well-Positioned In Your Industry

As CEO of Gotcha, Sean Flood is on a mission to disrupt the car industry. Gotcha is an e-mobility company that offers three sustainable micro-transit products: customized dockless bike share, electric scooters and e-trikes. Not only has Gotcha built the bikes, they also built the app to go with it. Under Sean’s leadership, Gotcha is now all over the US in cities and universities, and was ranked #277 on Inc. magazine’s 2019 list of the 5000 fastest growing companies. But Sean is also not a stranger to hardships and challenges. Before founding Gotcha in 2009 with his now wife, Jacklyn, he was buying real estate and flipping homes. Like many, the recession hit him hard. Necessity, they say, is the mother of all invention, and needing a new career and source of income, Gotcha was born. Sean is one of those guys who immediately disarms you with his confident humility, intelligence, graciousness, and deep care for his team. We walked away from this interview wishing more business owners were like him. We hope you enjoy this episode.

JENNIFER MORGAN: Living Through Regret, Regaining Your Confidence & Mojo, And Building Something You Need

JENNIFER MORGAN: Living Through Regret, Regaining Your Confidence & Mojo, And Building Something You Need

Jennifer Morgan is as dynamic as they come. We knew the moment we met her that we liked her. Her personal motto is “Work hard. Be kind.” How can you not like that kind of person? She’s got vision, a deep desire to help others, a sticktoitiveness attitude, humor in spades to face the challenging times, and a respect for people right where they are in their life. In her career, Jennifer climbed her way up the ladder of CNN where she ultimately worked on the NY stock exchange floor, in the field as a reporter, and had Wolf Blitzer as her mentor. She was in NY during 9/11 and so experienced being right at the scene for those tragic events. Jen is currently raising four kids and has recently opened Eleanor’s Place, an exclusive members-only work & social space in the Atlanta area, named after one of Jen’s historical role models, Eleanor Roosevelt. This space is unlike any other workspace we’ve seen and will surely be impactful to all those who are fortunate enough to be a part of it. If you’ve ever wanted to start something but felt paralyzed, or needed to get your mojo back, this is the episode for you!  We hope you enjoy the show.

If you’ve ever wondered what the behind the scenes are like in a reality TV show, this episode might just answer some of those questions for you. Janet Arneau grew up in Charleston, then went to the University of Tennessee where she got her degree in textiles. After college she moved to Atlanta and bought a dress store. This led to more modeling gigs and national commercials for the likes of Burger King, McDonald’s, and Ford, then seeing a career in modeling, Janet sold her store and ultimately moved to New York to work with Wilhelmina. Leaning into her hobby of stand up comedy she started her own production company called “What’s Your Problem?” Realizing her gift of telling stories about the unique things in life, Janet started and pitches reality tv shows to larger production companies and/or directly to a network.
