This episode is all about nutrition and, wow, it’s a good one. Jan Park has dedicated her life to helping others. Throughout her career as a nurse, she worked in the cardiac unit and was involved with saving many lives, but as she progressed in her career, she realized that she wanted to do more. She wanted to help change lives before they needed to actually be saved. So, she started Health Yourself by JP, a business all about helping others live healthier lives through nutrition and exercise. One of the things we love most about Jan and her business is that she’s approachable. She sets realistic expectations for how someone can get to optimal health and walks alongside of them as they get there. What a great episode of learning – we hope you enjoy the show!

As the new owner of Encore, Brantley is using her experience to make big strides in her new venture. She is a go-getter, a visionary, an adventurous spirit, and just a delight to be around. This episode is a continuation of yesterday’s from our time at the SC Women’s Business Summit in Columbia, SC where we had the privilege of recording live. If you haven’t already, go back and listen to the previous episode where we talked with 4 different entrepreneurs, and today we’re talking with 3 more. These women are building something great and making an impact on their world. We hope you enjoy this episode!
This week we’ve got a little different podcast episode for you. We recently had the incredible pleasure of recording live from the SC Women’s Business Summit where there were 300 people, mostly women, in attendance, and a large portion of them were SC women business owners. Also in attendance was the dynamic Lt. Governor, Pamela Evett. To represent some of the strength of the collective group, we were able to pull 7 of them aside and get 15-20 minutes with each to hear their story of how they started their businesses and some advice that they’d pass along to others from what they’ve learned. We’ve broken it up into 2 episodes – one that will launch today and one that will launch tomorrow. We hope you enjoy the show!
Linda Hancock grew up as an army brat who travelled internationally with her family as her Dad worked as a dentist within the military. Her childhood wasn’t typical, and that atypical nature has continued as she’s moved through life. She often finds herself drawn to the unknown and isn’t afraid of a new adventure. Linda founded Adam & Eve with 6 college friends, she wrote rape crisis protocol for the National Institute of Mental Health, she was a clicinal psychologist, and she pivoted to a sales rep for a medical equipment company. She has multiple graduate degrees, and has built and sold three companies over her career. Her story is fascinating, and her experience provides a treasure trove of knowledge. This is an episode where a lot of learning is offered. A warning in this episode: due to Linda’s experience in writing rape crisis protocol, there are some stories shared about rape from minutes 31-35, please fast forward through this if this is a sensitive topic for you. As always, we hope you enjoy this episode!
