Alys Campaigne is brilliant and fascinating. She was conceived in a West African hut by hippy peace corps parents, is a vegan who grew up on a hog farm, and has been a featured guest on C-Span more than once. She has spent a significant portion of her career advocating for, put simply, a better earth for all of us. She’s spent 10 years in Washington, DC helping create and lead the External Affairs department of the Center for American Progress, a nationally influential think tank, working as Legislative Director for the Natural Resources Defense Council, and as a Legislative Aide in the U.S. House and Senate. Alys co-founded a consulting business to national non-profit organizations with her husband, George, called Engage Strategies, headquartered in Charleston, SC.
