Words are extremely powerful for me.

I write them down to clear space for new ones. I write them down to set intentions for my day. I write them down to make them more real. To manifest the story they so beautifully have the ability to create on paper and in my own life.

Sometimes they fall out of my mind fluidly like water, but sometimes (like this morning) I get stuck in the silence & stillness in my head. It can be peaceful at times, BUT when you need to be writing for a purpose, it can be frustrating. Here’s what I do when I get stuck in that place…

I take 30 seconds and write down all the words that come to mind when I think of BEING INSPIRED.

Here’s what came up for me:

Light
Warmth
Connection
Endless
Celebration
Support
Encourage
Adventure
Spontaneous
Generosity
Gratitude
Mindfulness
Meditation
Nature
Yes
And
Lov
Sweat
Strength
Peace
Stillness
Breath

Okay, now your turn! Don’t think about it too hard. Just write whatever comes to mind. 123 GO!

When you feel complete, read your list back to yourself or out loud to someone else. Notice how merely seeing (or hearing) the words can shift the feelings in your mind & heart. Maybe they elicit the feeling of being inspired. Maybe they trigger your mind back into creative motion. OR maybe they stay on the page waiting to be put into your story at a later date. THAT’S OKAY!

The beautiful thing here is that we are all inspired by totally different words, we all have our own creative powers, and we can all put them together in our story exactly how we choose.

Cheers!
